Our society talks are held on the last Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm in the Llantonian Hall, Llantwit Major. Details of our upcoming talks are as follows;

Our talk tomorrow evening will be from regular speaker Kevin Thomas who will be discussing his favourite plants. 

The talk is at 7.30pm and held in the Llantonian Hall, Llantwit Major. 

Members and non members are welcome! 

There will be plants for sale so make sure you bring your change!!

Our first talk of 2016 is tonight at 7.30pm in the Llantonian Hall, Llantwit. 

Our talk 'Edible Planting' will be hosted by Michele Fitzsimmons, a permaculture designer and educator based in Cardiff. Michele specializes in organic fruit and vegetable growing and from a palette of thousands of edible perennial and annual plants, she will show how to combine beauty with purpose to create a garden completely in tune with nature.  

All are welcome, admission is free and we look forward to seeing you there!

Position Available.

We are looking for a new member of the committee to take over the position of Talks Secretary. If you're interested in the role or want to know more please don't hesitate to contact us.

Wednesday 25th November 2015 Talk.

All talks are held in the Llantonian Hall just off Boverton Road, behind the library at the back of the Rugby Club car park. 

All of our talks are free and everyone is welcome - members and non members. Tea and biscuits will be available! 

This month's talk is "The Heritage Coast Through The Eyes Of A Ranger", an illustrated talk by Helen Mills. 

Helen is an Area Ranger and has enjoyed spending the last nine years working at the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and she will be sharing her experiences with the society. Her illustrated talk will include the wildlife, geology, ecology, and management of this stretch of the coastline. It was awarded Heritage Coast status in 1972 and consists of dramatic cliffs, amazing rock formations and the biggest sand dune in Europe, backed by rolling countryside that stretches fourteen miles from Aberthaw to Porthcawl in the West.
