Malvern Coach Trip

MALVERN AUTUMN SHOW

The Malvern Autumn show on Sunday 27th September was the destination for the Society`s autumn trip and we set off from Llantwit looking forward to what the show had to offer this year.

The autumn show is different to the spring festival in that there are no show gardens to see, but there is still the flower pavilion with independent nurseries showcasing their plants, and the opportunity to purchase the plants from their displays at the end of the day. There were also plenty of other plant stalls on the showground, tempting us to part with our money!

Inside the permanent buildings there were many talented craftspeople showing off their handiwork, including jewellery, ceramics, paintings, soft furnishings and much more. One of these buildings also housed the giant vegetables which were astonishing!

The harvest pavilion was so colourful with many flowers and vegetables on display, and there were lots of prizes awarded to the entrants who put so much time and effort into preparing and showing their produce.

As usual, a very wide range of products could be found for sale from the commercial stand holders, and there were plenty of food vans offering some tasty options for lunch. There are also animals at the show including ponies, sheep, goats, rabbits and guinea pigs.

Many thanks to everyone who joined us on the trip, and to Dave our driver from Pencoed Travel.
